+++ Lo How Rose (3)

Today, the last day of the year 2009, I am still stitching Lo How a Rose project, however I was not supposed to be staying in London, because we were planning go back to Japan in this Christmas. But we are still in, because our flight has been cancelled about snow. That was so so so shocked, it was very hard to tell my parents and family that we could not come back.
Anyway, we could not help us, so had to changed our mind and keep stitching.....

But still not finished.

a Happy new year to you all

Candles

I have just completed the C en Roussillon's Candles on this weekend. The original design was a four candles, but I did put three of them in my frame.
(just I have small one only, unfortunately). And the red floss was running out on the way to finish.... you can see a bit different color in it....
I really like this candles, one more Christmas decoration has done, yeh!

I have finished Xhaftx's Ptaszki (Birds Tree) just on my birthday weekend! I was using Christmas color, Green, Red (DMC 304, 368, 988) and Golden floss.

Xhaftx's Ptaszki

I thought I should use more another color in it after I have done framed it.
or reverse the color Red at the border and Green on the Tree should be better????

How do you think?

+++ Singin' Bird

Singin' Bird by Hannah

I was very happy to hear that my daughter Hannah wanted to stitch with me :->, when I was stitching the Birds tree, then I had her created the design for her stitching.
She made small singing bird on her fabric then was stitching along!
So this was her first SAL, I was very proud.

+++ Christmas Trees

I found some Christmas Tree charts when I was googling in the web:

1) I just registered to Carole's Sampler de Noël 2009
Her site is in French but you can send her an e-mail to get your part 1 (English is OK!)
I can't wait to start this tree~~~~!

2) I fall in love this chart when I saw lovely Birds' Tree in the Xhaftx's blog then I tried to contact her via e-mail however I could not find her mail address on her blog, because Google translation function was not enough to me. I just left comment (in English) I hope I could get her reply....

3) One more tree from mimie's blog Noël Quaker, this is freebie chart.
She also has some free charts.

I am thinking to start the Carole's Sampler de Noël 2009 first, then Noël Quaker and if I get reach Xhaftx, I could have Birds' Tree as well. Hope I could get some more stitch time in this autumn time.

Happy stitching! xxx Sagami

+++ Handmade Lampshade

The stand lamp we had that's shade has been damaged. I have been looking for new shade but I could not find one for my taste. Then I decided to make it by myself. I was using Amy Butler's Midwest modern, and that was my favorite pattern 'martini'.

That was not so hard to make it, so I want to make another shade, and also I would chose from Amy Butler's pattern, of course.
My sons told me,
'mum, somebody can buy it!'

'mmm, I should think about selling it?'

+++ Quaker a 6 Mains

This was my Quaker a 6 Mains progress (week 2), and has been posted to Quaker Inspired also.
You could read that I've just started to use plastic square frame for this project, I found this was really easy to handle it. then was so surprised because I thought wooden hoop was the best, but plastic one was very easy to hold and very fabric adjustable.

++++++

And I've got another surprise....
I was really lucky last night, I finally finally, had ordered (Better Homes and Gardens) A Cross-Stitch Christmas: Celebrations in Stitches at Amazon.com, only $3.99!!
I have been keen to have it because I really love and want to have the chart "Lo how rose (this link was Leah's work). When I found this was $3.99, I could not resist it to order, because I found that ebay priced around $100 before, then I rang my friend [J] to ask her to receive it for me.
I hope the chart in the book I bought, was no damage...
I am really looking forward to see that!
Many thanks, J-chan!

And also I was so disappointed that I missed other his draw, because he had a Lo Rose Book Drawing... Yes, that was I really really want to have the chart by Brightneedles design.

+++ Aury's Giraffe

I was googling and have just found the site called 'Acerca del bordado…' that is Aury's Blog. I downloaded her freebie giraffe chart that was quaker style animal, I really love it.

Hannah keeps asking me ' where's his eyes? ears?' She was giggling when I answered 'He has not eyes and ears, this is just kind of silhouette with pattern', but she still wants to put some eyes on it.
Before my giraffe got eyes, I put it on the frame.
